Middle Eastern Bazaar is the original A3 coloured pencil drawing at the heart of The Ceramics Collection — a hand-drawn tribute to the ceramics of Turkey, Persia and the wider Middle East, built from over 100 individual vessels, each one researched and drawn entirely by hand.
Where Asian Blue brings stillness, Middle Eastern Bazaar brings warmth and energy. The palette is rich and layered - deep oranges, cobalt blues and botanical greens drawn from centuries of ceramic tradition. Bold geometric patterns sit alongside delicate botanical forms. Every vessel tells a different story from a different corner of a culture with one of the richest craft histories in the world.
The references come from the V&A archives, my own travels, and a long-standing love of the colour, pattern and soul that defines Middle Eastern and Turkish ceramics. This piece is a love letter to that heritage — rendered slowly, carefully, one ceramic at a time.
